THE CHALLENGE
Toro was born from a powerful intersection of backgrounds — collectible design, industrial design, and a deep legacy in Mexican furniture craftsmanship.
But the real challenge wasn’t creating another design brand.
It was how to make a new gallery feel timeless from day one —
balancing the tension between the classical and the contemporary,
without falling into something cold, distant, or overly conceptual.
The question became:
How do you create a space where design isn’t just observed — but lived?

The Approach
We interviewed potential clients and art collectors to understand how they experience galleries.
We uncovered a key insight:
people don’t want to feel intimidated — they want to feel hosted.
This led us to rethink the gallery as a restaurant:
a space with a bar, a “menu” instead of a price list, and objects presented as courses —
turning design into an experience that feels lived, not just observed.
The Result
Toro became more than a gallery — it became an experience.
A brand where collectible design feels approachable, desirable, and alive.
The narrative, space, and identity work together to create a sense of ritual —
inviting clients to explore pieces the same way they would explore a carefully curated menu.
